Last night I had the privilege of standing in a room with 7,200 women at The Gospel Coalition’s National Women’s conference and worshipping Jesus. It was glorious. Leading us to the throne of grace, were modern-day hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty. I was reminded again how thankful I am for their good, Gospel-centered music and how it has become a staple in my life. Their songs and beautiful hymns manage to seamlessly instill rich theological truths about God’s goodness, deep in my soul. Their beautifully crafted melodies lead me to worship the glorious creator in times of both joy and sadness.
I’m confident many are familiar with their most well known modern hymn, “In Christ Alone.” You can probably sing it in your sleep. While I love all of their classics, I’m thrilled to announce they’ve made more great music and it releases today. Their newest project, “Facing A Task Unfinished” was inspired by global mission and their belief that God’s people singing together fuels the church to mission. Along with the incredibly talented Getty band, the album features live congregational singing, and global sounds as well as guest appearances by Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Fernando Ortega, John Patitucci, Chris Tomlin and artists from around the world.
And because I love their music so much, I’ve got CDs to give away! If you’d like to enter to win your own copy of Facing A Task Unfinished, just leave a comment below and tell me either your favorite Getty song or tell me you’re new to their music. (Make sure to use your email address when commenting so I can contact you if you win!)
